Ford Suffers Record Loss As Oil Shock Hits Industry
From webmaster: DETROIT -- In a fresh sign of the turmoil wrought upon the auto industry by high fuel prices and cratering demand for trucks, Ford Motor Co. reported an $8.7 billion loss for the second quarter and outlined a plan to reorient its North American operations to ramp up production of small cars.
